It is an unchangable build so they can monkey it up totally, reboot and it is clean. In bulk 2g-USB are cheap and you can get a short cable to go from an external port back into the machine where you place the USB stick. From there you can burn it to CD/DVD or USB and have the machine boot from there. One method I just kind of ran across and am playing with is to build the machine the way you want, install a program called Respin Opens a new window, and create a bootable. Install a base of whatever you want to use then clone that in VB to test the locking method, speeds things up a lot! One cloned instance for each method you want to try. My suggestion is to get on your machine and load up Virtualbox. The one thing to remember when working in a school is that you never build the machines for the first person to use, you build it for the second person to use! You want the second person to have all of the same resources available to them that the first person had, no matter how much of a jerk the first one is! You are on the right track locking things up, don't worry about that part, worry about the best method of locking things up the way you need. Just need if your going to do it from a desktop install or a server base install. Thanks for info!If you want the kiosk script just let me know.
